  1. Hi Kelly, thanks for the feedback! Funny you say that, I was thinking just the other day how I want to do a soup series this Winter. Anything you’d like to see in particular? In the meantime, I can’t think of any recipes off the top of my head because I usually make them up but I’m sure there’s a heap online that you can adjust to your preferences 🙂

  2. Hey Maddie, my pleasure! The breath tests aren’t a necessity if you think you know what you are and are not reacting to, however they definitely took some out of the guesswork for me!

  4. Hello, just wanted to say thank you for comprehensively listing the recipes. I’m coeliac, with IBS and have started to blow up like a balloon after eating fructose high foods, ain’t I lucky? I need to save up for the breath tests, so am hoping the information you’ve shared will help me in the interim.
    Thanks again.

  5. Dear Ashlyn,

Like most of the comments above, I too want to thank you for the beautiful and delicious recipes you have chosen to share with us.

I too suffer from IBS and the likes and have been put on a strict Low Fodmap diet.

Having stumbled across your website through an Instagram post has given me much joy and inspiration.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  6. Hi Ashlyn,
Thanks for your great advice and recipes. I find your blog very helpful as I am fructose and lactose intolerant and I have IBS. I am also vegetarian so it is a constant challenge to select nutritious meals that won’t put me in pain. Your help is very precious. Thanks again.

  8. Hey Olivia,
So sorry about the delayed reply, I’ve been taking time off overseas for the past few months! Are you referring to the chai and orange pancakes? I hope you were able to find the page, but if not, here’s the link:

    https://nourishbyashlyn.com/2014/06/19/orange-chai-spiced-pancakes-w-caramelised-mandarin-compote-cardamom-coconut-cream-candied-maple-walnuts/

It’s also under the ‘breakfast’ and ‘sweets’ section on the ‘Recipe Index’ page. It’s my fault you couldn’t find it easily; I had forgotten to paste the link into the index! A big fat OOPS on my behalf! Enjoy! X

  9. Hey Ashley! I was just wondering where your pancake recipes are located? I don’t see them on here unless I’m just skipping over it which could be very possible haha! Love your page, definitely going to try a lot of these recipes and see how it works out considering I’m not a very good cook as of yet!

  10. Hello Sue!
Wow, a vegan with FructMal?! How incredibly daunting! I always say that I’d probably be vegan (or at least vego) if I didn’t have fructmal, but the combination of the two is just far too limiting. I truly admire her strength! That said, it’s amazing how much you begin to appreciate the foods you hated before when they’re ones you’re allowed to eat in abundance. If you told me a year ago that I’d be eating capsicum and zucchini every day, I might have gagged. The mind is a powerful thing!
I’ll be focusing a lot more on strictly fructmal friendly & low FODMAP recipes in future, as the market for them is only going to grow with the amount of people being diagnosed with fructmal.
Glad I can make a difference, even if only marginal. Thanks, Sue! X
